Shanghai fighted against Omicron in a costly way by large-scale lockdown

In late March of 2022, due to the outbreak of Omicron, Shanghai has pressed the pause button in order to terminate the spread of virus. The quarantine regulations have also suspended many drivers delivering exports to Shanghai port. In 2021, Shanghai's foreign trade volume hit a record high of 4.06 trillion yuan ($638 billion), accounting for over 10 percent of China's total, while Shanghai port became the world's largest container port for the 12th straight year. The current situation make 2022 a huge challenge to every Chinese manufacturers and exporters who are facing unprecedented pressure. However, we believe the virus will be defeated finally.
